Washburn hoops games remain scheduled in spite of inclement weather

Ichabods lead MIAA men’s standings, look to extend win streak to 10 games

Washburn’s scheduled basketball doubleheader against Northeastern State on Thursday remains scheduled at Lee Arena.

The women’s game will tip off at 5:30 p.m., followed by the men’s game around 7:30.

The Washburn men are 11-3 and 5-0 in the MIAA and will bid for their 10th straight victory. A 6-0 conference start would be the first for the Ichabods since 2003-04 when they won their first eight MIAA games before claiming the regular-season title.

The Washburn women are 12-2 and 4-1 in the MIAA and will look to regain momentum after their six-game win streak was halted with a loss to Emporia State.
