A video of a Kansas City Royals fan appearing to punch another individual in the stands at Tuesday night’s game at Kauffman Stadium was posted to the celebrity news website TMZ early Thursday morning.

The video shows a scuffle before a man in a No. 15 Whit Merrifield jersey rears back and punches another individual.

The website reports that the man punched a woman after she allegedly spit on him in the stands during the game against the Giants.

A stadium employee can be seen in the video responding to the situation.

TMZ reported that off-duty Kansas City police officers working at the game responded and arrested both the man and the woman.

Additionally, the website reported that both were cited for disorderly conduct and escorted out of the stadium. The woman wasn’t reported to have serious injuries and declined medial condition.

The Royals lost the game Tuesday to the Giants but won Wednesday, 2-0, to split the series.

It's probably best just to stay home and catch a good Royals game on TV, radio, live-stream, or read about it in the C-J.

Yeah, Royal fans are pretty much jerks.  I got sucker punched at a game a few years back just cuz I was wearing my NY Yankee hat.
