Group looks to start Dallas Safari Club chapter in Topeka

Organizers to host informational meeting Sept. 19 at TSCPL

A group hoping to bring the Dallas Safari Club to the Topeka area is hosting an informational meeting about the formation of a new chapter this month.

The meeting will be at 6 p.m. Sept. 19 in Marvin Auditorium at the Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library, 1515 S.W. 10th in Topeka.

In a flyer, the organizers say they hope to “create a local Chapter that will use the connections, and support of the DSC to impact in our community.”

It says that chapters can pick projects and focus that impact locally, and no membership is needing.

The Dallas Safari Club is described by the organization as “a leader in conservation, education and protecting hunter’s rights.”
