Olathe West takes control in the second half to drop Topeka West, 68-36

OLATHE — Topeka West led at the end of the first quarter Wednesday night and the Chargers were within four points at the half before Olathe West dominated the second half en route to a 68-36 non-league victory.

 

Topeka West led 13-12 at the end of the first quarter and trailed 30-26 at the half before West outscoring the Chargers 38-10 in the second half.

West, which fell to 3-6, got nine points from sophomore Brendeja Holloman and junior Kija Kahre-McMurray while junior Gabby Rivera added seven points.

Freshman Bailey Collar led Olathe West with 18 points while sophomore Anaiya Uhde added 17 points and five 3-pointers.
