A big recruiting weekend netted two oral commitments for Kansas State’s 2018 football class.
Defensive end Cartez Crook-Jones and offensive tackle Shane Cherry, high school teammates from Grandview, Mo., announced their commitment on their Twitter accounts.
The 6-foot-4, 230-pound Crook-Jones had previously committed to Kansas but flipped to K-State after the weekend visit. He also was recruited by Iowa State, Missouri and Arkansas.
Cherry (6-5, 300) also accepted a K-State offer from what he called his “dream school” after the weekend campus visit.
With the new early signing period approaching on Dec. 20, K-State now has 13 commitments.
