K-State’s Will Geary, Dalton Risner earn All-America honors

Will Geary and Dalton Risner of Kansas State were first-team selections on the All-America team selected by Pro Football Focus.


Geary, a 6-foot, 306-pound senior defensive tackle from Topeka, received a season grade of 91.6 by PFF, which grades players on a game-by-game basis and selects weekly all-conference teams. The Topeka High product had 43 tackles with 9 tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks and was first-team All-Big 12 on the coaches team announced earlier this week.

Risner, also on the coaches All-Big 12 team, is a 6-5, 300-pound junior from Wiggins, Colo. He started every game at right offensive tackle for the second straight season after starting at center his freshman year. He had a grade of 90.3 from PFF.

K-State was the only team to have a first-team pick on both offense and defense.

The Wildcats concluded the regular season with a 7-5 record and play UCLA in the Cactus Bowl on Dec. 26 in Phoenix.
