Bruce Weber announces changes on K-State basketball staff

MANHATTAN — Kansas State baskeball coach Bruce Weber announced Tuesday additions and promotions on his staff.

Jermaine Henderson was hired as director of student-athlete development and Mike Furlong was promoted to video coordinator. Henderson, who spent 20 years as an assistant at Miami (Ohio), Missouri State and Cleveland State, replaces Matt McCumber, who left for an assistant coaching position at Tennessee-Martin. Furlong spent two years as graduate assistant for the Wildcats and replaces Dustin Yoder, who was named assistant coach at Texas-Permian Basin.

Shane Southwell, a former Wildcat player, is returning as a graduate assistant and Ryan Strohm also was named a grad assistant.

Administrative assistant Bailey Bachamp was elevated to recruiting coordinator and assistant to the head coach.
