Runners win, end Showcase with 2-2 mark

BLAINE, Minn. — The Topeka RoadRunners wrapped up the NAHL Showcase with a 6-1 win against the Jamestown Ironmen on Saturday.

Ryan White scored two goals for the Runners, who began the Showcase with two losses, but bounced back for two wins.

Zach Schrotenboer opened the scoring in the first period, and the Runners added two more in the second — by White and Kyle Sharkey.

Jamestown cut into the 3-0 lead with a goal early in the third period, but Topeka salted the win away with goals by White, Brian Christie and Jake Lynes.

The Runners continue the regular season at St. Louis on Friday.
