WICHITA FALLS, Texas — Wichita Falls’ Ryan Frost proved to be a thorn in the sides of the Topeka RoadRunners on Saturday.
Frost scored the tying goal with 27 seconds remaining in the third period and scored the winner in overtime to give the Wildcats a 4-3 victory in Game 4 of the NAHL division playoffs.
The Runners, leading the best-of-five series 2-1 and heading for a series win, were ahead 3-1 late, but blew the lead. Wichita Falls’ Tanner Fahlstedt scored at the 17:17 mark of the third period.
Then Frost connected on an unassisted goal to tie it.
Nate Milam and Ryan White scored first-period goals for the Runners and Kyle Sharkey scored on the power play early in the third to make it a two-goal lead.
The deciding Game 5 will be at 7:05 p.m. Monday at Landon Arena.
