Runners win with huge 3rd

A five-goal third period sealed a come-from-behind victory for the Topeka RoadRunners, who topped the Texas Tornado 6-4 Saturday night in Frisco, Texas.

Trailing 3-1 after two periods, Mason Miller and Andrew O'Leary scored less than six minutes into the the final period to tie the game. The RoadRunners took the lead when Kyle Sharkey scored on a power play with less than eight minutes remaining.

After a shorthanded goal by Nate Milam, Texas cut the gap back to one goal when Rock Einersen scored at the 17:37 mark. But Ryan White sealed the victory for Topeka with an empty-net goal, becoming the sixth RoadRunner to score in the game.
