Turner moves into second place on season list with 787 series

Massey posts second 700 series in youth ranks

Kyle Turner strung together games of 249, 259 and 279 for a 787 series last Saturday night in the Northern Lights League at West Ridge Lanes to highlight last week’s city bowling action.

 

The series allowed Turner to move into second place on the season honor roll — one pin ahead of Russ Wilson and 17 behind Allen Payne.

The men’s ranks also yielded Brian Granger’s 277 – 767 series and Earl Pinkston III’s 299 game at West Ridge.

Chelsie Bahr, meanwhile, led the women with a 247-183-236 – 666 outing in the Tuesday Night Mixed League at West Ridge.

Topping the seniors were Jim Charity, who shot 204-224-279 – 707 in the Funtime Friends League, and Marlene Flowers, who rolled 202-207-200 – 609 in the Senior Wheel League, both at West Ridge.

Other top senior scores: Dan Gorman, 238 – 673; Claude Coffman, 268 – 670; and Linda Matthias, 235 – 561, all at West Ridge, and Barb Tidwell, 202 – 569 at Gage Bowl.

Blake Massey led the youth with a 246-266-216 – 728 series at West Ridge (his second 700 this season), while Nathan Mercer shot 244 – 694 at Gage, and Lauren Buchanan rolled 235 – 608 at West Ridge.
