Letter: Kansas senators ignoring constituents

Do not re-elect Sens. Pat Roberts or Jerry Moran. I spent 25 years in the community of Atchison and had the opportunity to dialogue a bit with Roberts. I was never a big fan of his, and always felt like he was a supporter of big government and the establishment. In the past year — due to significant abuse of my profession by Medicare (I have been a doctor of chiropractic medicine for 35 years) — I began to write letters to my members of Congress regarding Medicare oversight. In this country, there is no oversight of Medicare except by Congress.

As a resident of Kansas my entire life, it is my privilege and right to ask my political representatives to support or pursue a certain course of action. But neither Roberts nor Moran even responded to me. Is that the type of representation we need? Both of them are establishment politicians. They’re “the swamp,” and they need to go.
