Drivers who use K-Tag to pay tolls in Kansas can now do so in Texas, too, the Kansas Turnpike Authority announced this week.

The K-Tag already is accepted in Oklahoma, as well.

According to a news release, drivers can use the K-Tag on all Texas toll roads.

Likewise, Texas drivers can use their state’s toll transponders in Kansas.

“Customers who use multiple transponders to travel in Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas are asked to remove all but one transponder to prevent double billing issues,” the KTA news release said.

The compatibility is part of the Central States Hub initiative between Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas, an effort to improve transaction communication among those states’ tolling authorities.
