The Shawnee County Health Department and the group Communities Creating Opportunities, which teamed up to host two community health forums in November, will host two more next week focusing on health and faith.

The forums will be from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday at New Mount Zion Baptist Church, 2801 S.E. Indiana Ave., and from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, at Antioch Family Life Center, 1921 S.E. Indiana Ave., the health department said in a news release this week.

Entitled “Our Health, Our Faith,” the community forums seek in particular to activate congregations of all faiths and local residents to work for improved health outcomes and health equity for all, the release said.

It indicated the events will explore the current Community Health Improvement Plan and work toward setting goals for the 2018 plan.
