Topeka Bible Church will present an all-new version of its annual Christmas light show next weekend.
Performances of the “Light Show 2.0” will take place at 6, 7, 8 and 9 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 15, Saturday, Dec. 16, and Sunday, Dec. 17.
The event will be inside the church’s College Avenue Auditorium, just west of the church building at 1135 S.W. College Ave.
This marks the 10th year in a row that Topeka Bible Church has presented a light show for the Christmas season.
In past years, the program took place outside on the south exterior wall of the main Topeka Bible Church building.
“Construction on the Mulvane Building this fall meant that we wouldn’t be able to present the same kind of show as we have in the past,” said Jeremiah Devine, Topeka Bible Church worship arts pastor.
“We decided this was the perfect time to take the light show to the next level.”
This year’s show will feature some of the same sights and sounds that were included in past events, including live musical performances, dazzling light displays and free glow sticks for everyone.
New features include enhancements to the music and lights, more performers, a hot cocoa and cookie bar, children’s play area and Christmas photo opportunities.
“The light show has always been about reaching the churched and unchurched people of the community with the gospel in an exciting, engaging and meaningful way,” Devine said. “Light Show 2.0 gives us additional opportunities to connect with the community and share the love of Christ.”
Admission to Light Show 2.0 and all activities are free. Seating is limited to 400 people per show.
The church encourages visitors to arrive early for their desired performance time.
