Appearing last week on ABC-TV’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” program, Hollywood actress Annette Bening recalled that she was born in Topeka.

Tim Hrenchir, the “History Guy,” returns Thursday with a short video on CJOnline about Bening, 59, whose family moved when she was 1 year old from Topeka to Wichita. They later lived in California.

Bening’s long acting career has included four nominations for Academy Awards. She has been married since 1992 to famed actor Warren Beatty. They have four children.

In a December 2016 appearance on CBS-TV’s “Late Late Show with James Corden,” Bening told of how – during a plane flight stopover in Wichita with Beatty and actor Jack Nicholson – they’d visited her childhood home there. She said the woman who lived in that house, who appeared to have had a few drinks beforehand, was “somewhat shocked” to see the three on her doorstep.
