Man’s body found near downtown Topeka, police say death doesn’t appear suspicious

The death of a man whose body was found Wednesday near downtown Topeka doesn’t appear suspicious, Topeka police officer Lucas Capes said.

The incident was reported to Shawnee County Dispatch at 1:31 p.m.

The man’s body was found outside near S.W. 8th and Tyler.

Police tape surrounding the scene was taken down around 3 p.m.
