Man armed with knife still at large after robbing southwest Topeka Kwik Shop

Convenience store has been robbed multiple times

A man armed with a double-bladed knife on Thursday evening robbed a Topeka Kwik Shop.


The incident was reported about 7:15 p.m. at 102 S.W. 37th.

A man entered the convenience store displaying the knife and demanding money, Topeka police Lt. Aaron Jones said.

He made off with currency and was last seen running southeast next to a silver Honda Element with dents on the rear of the vehicle.

The robber is described as a tall, black male who was wearing a black hoodie and a purple bandana over his face.

The same Kwik Shop location was robbed earlier this year and in April 2016.
