The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office and Holton Police Department arrested a man Tuesday afternoon in Holton trying to sell stolen property, said Sheriff Tim Morse.

Curt Vandevelde, 45, of St. Marys, was being held Wednesday in the Jackson County Jail in Holton in lieu of a $50,000 bond in connection with burglary and theft, Morse said.

Authorities suspect Vandevelde of committing multiple burglaries in Jackson County, Morse said.

He said property thought to have been stolen from residences in Jackson County was seized from a stolen vehicle Vandevelde had been driving.
