Police looking for suspect who robbed Quik Stop west of downtown Topeka

Topeka police officers are looking for a suspect in an early Monday morning robbery of a convenience store just west of downtown.

A TPD watch commander confirmed officers are looking for a black male, 5-feet, 10-inches tall with a medium build who robbed the Quik Stop at 6th and Clay at about 6:15 a.m. with a black revolver.

A witness told a police officer at the scene that he saw the suspect in the 8th and Clay area, south of the store, wearing a hoodie and a black or green scarf over his face.

This is a developing story. Check back with cjonline.com for updates.
