Police investigate armed robbery at Lawrence business

Lawrence police are investigating after two men armed with a weapon robbed a business Friday afternoon, authorities said.

The armed robbery was reported about 12:35 p.m. at Cash 2 Go, 1717 W. 6th St., according to a news release from police.

A woman told officers the men, one of whom had a weapon, entered the business and demanded money. The robbers took an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing west on 6th Street in an older-model red Pontiac passenger car, police said.
