Karren Weichert, CEO of Midland Care Connection Inc., has been named the 2018 Woman of Distinction by the American Business Women’s Association Career Chapter of Topeka.
Weichert has been with Midland Care Connection for 27 years and led Midland through development of a continuum of services with locations in five Kansas communities.
She serves on the boards of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization and the National PACE Association and is a member of an elite group of hospice directors in the National Hospice Executive Roundtable, described as a think tank of leaders who share best practices focusing on changing health care dynamics and strategies for the future.
Weichert also serves on several local boards and committees and is a member of Topeka Rotary.
She will be honored at the 2018 Woman of Distinction Scholarship Luncheon, which will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 13, at the Kansas Expocentre’s Maner Conference Center near S.W. 17th and Western.
The annual Woman of Distinction Scholarship Luncheon, now in its 36th year, has raised more than $365,000 for Washburn University and Washburn Institute of Technology scholarships.
