Fort Riley soldier killed in training exercise in Fort Hood, Texas

A Fort Riley soldier was killed on Tuesday night during a training accident in Fort Hood, Texas.

KWTX reports a 1st Infantry Division HH-60M Black Hawk helicopter crew was conducting a medical evacuation hoist training exercise at roughly 10:30 p.m. Tuesday evening. The incident occurred on a range south of Robert Gray Army Airfield.

The soldier’s name has not been released to the public and no further information is available at this time.
