Police: Person struck by car on I-70 near downtown Topeka in apparent suicide attempt

An unidentified pedestrian was struck by a vehicle Friday afternoon on eastbound Interstate 70 near downtown Topeka.

Topeka police said a person received minor injuries when they were hit by a vehicle near the Adams and Branner Trafficway exit on I-70 in what appeared to be a suicide attempt.

An American Medical Response ambulance transported the victim to a local hospital.
