Jackson County Sheriff’s Office seeks help in locating man wanted in connection with kidnapping

Warrants issued for arrest of Shaun Barber, 33

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a man wanted in connection with kidnapping, aggravated battery and other offenses.

 

Shaun Justin Barber, 33, frequents the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation, Delia, northern Shawnee County and the Topeka area, according to Jackson County sheriff Tim Morse.

Warrants were issued for his arrest in December in connection with kidnapping, two counts of aggravated assault, aggravated battery and domestic battery.

An unspecified reward is being offered for information leading to Barber’s arrest, Morse said.

Barber is described as a Native American man, standing 6 feet tall and weighing 170 pounds. He has brown eyes and brown hair.
