Economic Development 101 offers behind-the-scenes look at promoting Topeka

Economic development specialists in Topeka will discuss how their work operates in a thriving community and help Topekans get a behind-the-scenes look at business attraction and retention.

In its first-ever Economic Development 101 event, GO Topeka experts will discuss their jobs and take questions from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library, 1515 S.W. 10th Ave.

Speaking will be Molly Howey, senior vice president of economic development, and Jackie Steele, vice president of business retention and expansion.
