Colorado woman killed Tuesday in head-on crash on I-70 in western Kansas

A Colorado woman was killed Tuesday morning in a two-vehicle, head-on crash on Interstate 70 in Russell County in western Kansas.

 

Authorities said the cash occurred at 8:27 a.m. Tuesday on I-70 about a mile and a half west of the town of Russell.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2015 four-door Honda car was eastbound onI-70 and for an unknown reason crossed the median, striking a westbound 2017 Honda car.

The driver of the 2015 Honda, identified as Linda Maria Duran, 46, of Peyton, Colo., was pronounced dead at the scene. The patrol said Duran, who was alone in her vehicle, was wearing a seat belt.

The driver of the 2017 Honda, identified as Steve Colton Stephens, 26, of Westminster, Colo., and a passenger, Hannah L. Stephens, 25, of Westminster, Colo., were both reported uninjured. The patrol said both were wearing a seat belt.
