Oriental Pearl, Topeka Chinese restaurant, announces temporary closure for remodeling

Owners of the Oriental Pearl, a Chinese restaurant on the west side of Topeka, announced Monday via Facebook they will close temporarily next week for remodeling.

Owner Matt Tindell said the restaurant at 2025 S.W. Urish Road would be closed from Jan. 14 to Feb. 1.

Tindell said the construction won’t be extensive, but the dining area will be remodeled, the floor and front counter will be replaced, and the restaurant’s interior will be painted.

The restaurant typically is open 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 4:30 to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 4:30 to 8 p.m. Sundays.

Tindell said he didn’t anticipate any changes to daily operations after remodeling is completed.
