Runners win in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — The Topeka RoadRunners rode four first-period goals to a 6-4 victory Friday night against the Springfield Jr. Blues.

Justin Hussar and Michael Hill scored two goals apiece in the first period, with Hussar picking up a hat trick halfway through the second period. Hill assisted each of Hussar’s goals.

The RoadRunners and Jr. Blues continue the two-game series at 7 p.m. Saturday.
